Despite a week wowing wayward burners, the Crue was adamant that Thunderbridge was NOT going back on the truck. So at 9pm Thursday, September 1st, 2011, we burned it, along with 21 other effigies from around the world.

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 – Brand-a-Paddle BBQ

Wow! It was delightful, great fun, naughty and wonderful. We branded paddles. We learned how to properly paddle someone. We dueled with paddles. Some of us spray-painted clothes. Most of us purchased raffle tickets. We danced on the Bridge. We test burned feathers. We set up the sound system (for SOAK*). We made thunder sounds (for Burning Man). People came out to socialize, meet the Crüe and show their support. Thank You!

Monday, May 23rd, 2011 – Relax, Rejoice and Recover

Monday never had a chance. Work was a breeze; recurrent Joyful dancing made the day fly by.

Many thanks to LostMachine Andy who fabricated wing support brackets for us today. And thumbs up to Pi and Pope for working on them yesterday.

Feather Factory Day 1 - April 16, 2011

We fired up the feather and paddle factory today!

Crue made their way to The Vatican (WA) this morning and went to work making 150 short feathers.

Today's MVP award goes to Priti, Fluffer extraordinaire. Again you worked so well, and all that sawdust made you look so happy playa weathered.

We proto-typed the Thunderbird wing forearm and reviewed attachment methods. These birds are going to be B--I--G.

The bonfire was lit at 5:30 pm and factory Ninjas celebrated with a few well-deserved swigs of whiskey. The sunset was beautiful.

Meanwhile at Assembly Two, lumber was picked up for the SOAK* 2011: Snarkle Pony Rodeo @ppetizer Burn and Heckling Booth.

Stairs Build Day 2 - April 10, 2011

Moving wood to Assembly Two where the bridge will be assembled.

4:20pm - second stair step almost done - spirits are still very high.

We had a generous donation from Ken Strait so our immediate plywood needs have been fulfilled. We ♥ backers.

If you donate more plywood, it will be going to the Irish and their Core project. :)

Videographer Jon interviewed and filmed the Crue. Stay tuned to see our montage.

Mission One Accomplished! We set out to build two stair sets and we did it! The entire Crue was amazing. =)

Our week end MVP award goes to Pi, build coordinator extraordinaire. Your incredible ninja skills, coordinated pink tool belt, gloves and boots and enthusiastic dedication to the project were inspirational.

Next build at Assembly One on April 23rd. We've got feathers and Thunderbirds on our mind. Grazie mille and spread the word.
